Wild Cards originated in October of 2006,
shortly after my family and I were forced to
move from New Orleans to Central Florida as
a result of Hurricane Katrina. As an attempt
to cope with the disaster and the trying times
relative to repairing my family's life, I found
refuge in photographing the plentiful and broad
varieties of wildlife in the area of the St. John's
River. Incorporating these photos into cards
was a way for me to appreciate the beauty of
nature and its healing powers. I hope they heal
you and others in some way too! |
